I began my narration career as a volunteer at the Jewish Guild for the Blind where the second book I was given to record was Jurassic Park which I read before the movie! I was hooked. Several years later I auditioned and was taken on as a narrator at American Foundation for the Blind (AFB) where I worked from 1994 until the company folded in 2009 recording close to 300 titles while there. At AFB I learned the ins and outs of compelling story telling by listening in on the sessions of the many seasoned NYC pros who had narrating books there for decades. From AFB I branched into the commercial world of audiobooks doing work for: Recorded Books, Audible, Penguin RH, MacMillan, Blackstone, Simon & Schuster, Tantor, Highbridge, Hachette, and LiveOak Media. Since 2020 I have narrated long form magazine articles for Apple News from publications including: The New Yorker, Forbes, Texas Monthly, Sports Illustrated, New York, Vanity Fair, Popular Mechanics, etc. I also narrate a financial newsletter for Oaktree Capital written by one of their founders. I have won three Audie Awards for my work in non-fiction and been nominated eight times. I also won the John Scourby award for fiction narration at AFB as well as numerous AudioFile magazine earphone awards.
